Weekly Update

Picture Request:
I would like to ask you to send with your child pictures of themselves when they were babies, of their families, trips, birthdays, etc. that you may have at home. I will return them to you shortly after our unit “Look at Us” is over. (NO MORE THAN 5 PICTURES PER CHILD PLEASE!!!)

Substitute:
Please note that I will be out of the classroom tomorrow, September 9 to assess 6 Traits writing samples, Mrs. Sharmila Singh will be my substitute.

Pick up & Drop off Procedures:
Children are welcome in the classroom at 7:00 am each day. If your child arrives after 7:30 am he or she will be marked tardy. At 7:45 am all children not present will be marked absent. If your child arrives after 7:45 am please visit the office to notify them your child has arrived.
At 2:20 pm each day your child is free to leave with a parent or guardian. Children still present at 2:30 pm will be sent to the office to wait for parents. If your child participates in an after school activity he or she will be waiting for you at the cafeteria at 3:00 pm.

Open House:
Thank you to all families who attended the Open House last week. It was great to have more time to meet parents and talk with you about our Kindergarten classroom. For those of you who didn't attend, I will be sending a handout in your child's folder today.
