Monday Reminders

100th Day of School:
On Monday, February 1st will be the 100th day of school. On this day the students in Kindergarten will have a party in which they will be doing some special activities focusing on the number 100. We will celebrate with games and activities to help us learn more about the number 100. I will need volunteers to provide juice, a healthy snack, and a sweet treat! If you are interested please send me an e-mail or send a note in your child’s folder.
100th Day Collection:
One of the things I would like each child to do in preparation for the 100th day of school is to make a collection of 100 things that can be easily transported to school and displayed. This collection should be arranged in an interesting way and should Some possible items the children could use for their collection are: beans, cereal, contain exactly 100 items. pasta, straws, candy, Legos, toothpicks, cards, marbles, blocks, shapes, or any other creative arrangements of materials that the children can organize. They could also bring ten different groups of 10 things, five different groups of 20 things, four different groups of 25 things or two different groups of 50 things. These collections should be brought to school on or before Monday the 1st.

Rainy Days:
Please make sure that your child has a raincoat and boots to use in case it is raining. It may also be a good idea to send an extra pair of socks and clean dry shoes. We have recess outside (in the covered areas) even when it is raining

Cups: If you haven’t already, please return your child’s clean plastic cup.
